It’s that time again, the beginning of the year and you start thinking about your next holiday. You want to try something new but you think you have done it all and been everywhere. So then ask yourself if you have ever been at sea? You cannot answer this question by saying you sailed or went canoeing because this question refers to being at sea on a huge ship.

Taking a cruise might not have crossed your mind so now you have a new avenue to research. You can start with a search for 2012 cruise deals and see what results you get. Read through the offers and the freebies that are offered to find one that catches your attention.

You can then do your own search with the listed destinations, the time you are free to get away and since this will be your first cruise, you won’t have a ship preference. Maybe a friend or family member has recommended a particular ship because they were a passenger in the past. First hand information from an actual cruiser is the best kind information anyone can get and you can also read blogs to help you make your decision.

The country of Finland is bordered by Sweden, Norway and Russia and so you can imagine that they know a thing or two about snow. Northern Finland is known to have snow flurries as early as September and the snow that falls, will remain until May. The air here is fresh, dry and cold and the snow is thick on the roofs of the residents.

Skiing is a way of life here and people also go ice fishing, dog sledding and many other outdoor activities, whether they are done for fun or for fitness. Families who will be visiting Finland will not want to miss a visit with Santa and this can be done by booking a holiday to Lapland. Each child will get their individual turn with the man in the red suit and be able to visit his cabin.

Once you have spent some time on the slopes skiing or snowboarding, you can then have fun by snowmobiling over the hills and right across the frozen lakes. If you want to travel in a more natural style, there are teams of huskies or even reindeer that will take you on a tour of the area. For those who are adventurous, they can spend a night in an igloo, a Lapp hut or a hotel made totally out of ice.

Choosing a destination for your next great getaway is easy. You already know where you want to go and what you want to do while you are there. Maybe a tour of the Grand Canyon is your focus or spending time on a tropical beach with warm sand and water that is abundant with colorful marine life. We all know the location but finding a place to stay is another matter.

You might book a package deal so all the details are included and you don’t have to search for a hotel or villa. But if package deals are not your cup of tea, then you have another search ahead of you. For those who will be making plans to go skiing this winter, you can begin your search with ski resorts first and work from there. Europe offers many ski destinations so if you have chosen to experience the slopes of Slovenia for example, you will find that ski resorts are found between the borders of Austria and Italy. The terrain here is diverse and both beginner and intermediate skiers will be happy in this location. Groups and families will enjoy the friendly atmosphere and Italian and German cuisines, along with beer and wine, make this location certainly worth checking out.

Scotland is well-known for its unique culture, traditions, and the rugged natural beauty of its landscape. Rolling green hills, fleecy white sheep, and the deep, crystal clear locks where mythical sea creatures are suppose to dwell, are all part of the high and lowland character that is inherent to Scotland.

Glasgow is the second largest city in Scotland. It is located on the River Clyde, in the West Central lowlands. If you plan on moving to Scotland, eating haggis and experiencing the good life as an ex-patriot, or simply visiting the city for an extended stay, Glasgow has numerous different kinds of apartment to choose from. The different kinds of Glasgow apartments range from the upscale and much sought after Victorian townhouses in West Glasgow, to basic, simple, and affordable flats. There are also numerous Medieval-style flats in the city.

However, the majority of the architecture in Glasgow is from the 19th century, and most of the Glasgow apartments reflect this period. Nevertheless, whatever your taste or personal housing and apartment style might be, Glasgow has affordable, unique, and spacious apartments. This vibrant and cultural city has much to offer. The Glasgow apartments are a great example of Scotland’s history.

This July, at the Imtech arena in Hamburg in Germany, two men will get to decide who will walk away as the heavyweight champion. For all boxing lovers, David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko will face off on the 2 July 2011 at the home of the German side, Hamburger SV. People are travelling from all of Europe and the rest of the world to have an opportunity to sit and cheer on their favorite boxer, live in the stadium. Travel to Hamburg and watch live Haye vs Klitschko from the stands!

Leeds is one of the cities in the United Kingdom where people in their thousands will be coming from. The aerial distance between Leeds and Hamburg is 475 miles. If travelling by road, the distance on the ground is 612 miles and this takes 15 hours to cover, if one is travelling at 40mph or around 9 hours if one is moving at 70mph.

For those flying to Hamburg, the travel time reduces to only 1.6 hours, which is inclusive of the thirty-minute ascent and descent. One can get a plane ticket from the prestigious airlines from $344 to around $642. For those using the railway, a train from Leeds to Hamburg will cost you £150, the advantage being that the ticket will take you to multiple countries in Europe.

From the train station or the airport, a taxi to the venue will cost you €15 to €20 to the venue of the fight. If you are on your own in your car you would need to follow several roads to get you to the venue. On crossing the border, from Netherlands to Germany using the A67, get to the A40. Exit the road at 14-Kreuz Kaiser Berg and enter the A3 towards Hannover. Branch off to the A2 and, take exit 8 to the A43. Take the exit 43-Buchhoizler and keep right to take Lurup, merge with Schnackenburgallee then turn left into Syvesterallee where you will find the Imtech Arena, the place where the fight will be.

Family activity holidays are some of the best memories for the future. When family comes together to enjoy time in fun, you will cherish the moments and great times. Choosing the right holiday for everyone is the trick. Adults need entertainment and so do the children. A trip to an ocean side campground is fun for everyone. Children will love playing in the sand and along the surf, looking for shells and playing tag with the waves. Let yourself enjoy the same games and take time with your kids. Include yourself in a lot of their activities to create bonding time that will remain long after the holiday ends.

During the evening at camp use creative ways to make a meal you would not have at home. You can roast hotdogs or bite size pieces of good beef on camp fire forks. Add baked potatoes, hot cocoa, and roasted marshmallows afterwards. Tell the children stories of your own adventures as a child and then send them to their own tent to talk abut fun until they fall asleep. This is the time for adults to cuddle in front of the fire and talk about family, fun, and the future. It is a low stress, low cost vacation everyone will enjoy.

If you are looking for a great family vacation idea, you want to make sure that you pick somethign that everyone involved will enjoy. You don’t want to pick something that just the kids will like, nor do you want to pick something that is all about adults. You want everyone to have activities that they love, as well as activities that everyone can do as well. That is why going on a ski vacation to one of the many ski resorts out there is a great idea. Whether you and your family ski’s or snowboards, you can be sure that you will find your time on the slopes more than worth it.

The thing is, there are plenty of ski resorts out there for you to check out for your family vacation. When you go during the busy season, you can expect some higher prices at some of the more popular resorts, especially when children are out of school and college students are on vacation. You also want to keep an eye out for package deals which allow you to buy your transportation, lodging, and slope passes in one purchase. It will save you money and make the trip a lot less stressful for everyone that is involved in it.

Depending on where you live, tipping is either done or not done. Those who have spend time in Asia or Japan in particular, know that it is considered rude to tip and so it is not something that is done. Many times, the same is true for parts of Europe and Latin America but it is expected in the US. With rules like this, many travelers are left confused not knowing if it is right or wrong.

Cab drivers, waiters and bellboys in the US all perform similar duties but in other countries, there are different ways a tip is viewed. The taxi drivers in New Zealand or Chile will not expect to be tipped but you can bet there are many hands held out for a tip at hotels. At a hotel there is that staff who opened your car door and that other staff member who takes your bags to your room, but which one gets the tip?

If you happen to travel to Fiji, South Korea or Malaysia, there is no tip expected at restaurants and in European countries, you will see a ten percent service charge often added to the cost of your meal. Be sure to check out the Thomson discount codes before you book your next trip so you can save on tours, hotels and attractions.

When you travel to the Maldives for your luxury holiday, this Indian Ocean destination thrills and excites simultaneously as it relaxes and soothes.

Only 200 of the1190 islands of the archipelago are inhabited, so privacy is never an issue. Enjoy a private, moonlit dinner on a private sandbar. Explore as many of the 1000 coral reefs as you care to or go diving for deeper exploration in the crystalline waters. Of course, sunbathing on the white, sandy beaches is perfectly allowed as well.

Shopping is quite easy with the US dollar accepted almost everywhere, and if you need local currency, exchange to the Rufiya is handled in a mere moment. Bring back all the local art and souvenirs you wish to make your memories stay with you.

The exquisite tropical climate is warm and welcoming all year with the temperatures ranging close to 30°C. Sitting on the equator, its two seasons are exceptionally consistent. From May to October, there is an increased chance of rain and wind while November to May is the dry season.

Stay on Madivaru Island with its spectacular lagoon, on Baros island or on Cocoa Island for ultimate privacy.

You can experience the epitome in luxury wherever you choose to spend a holiday in this tropical paradise. Service is topped only by your comfort and convenience.
