2012 Olympics – too soon?

2012 Olympics – too soon?

As you probably know, London will have the joy and pleasure – not to mention the responsibility – of hosting the 2012 Olympic Games. This is certainly a major milestone in the city’s history, but it’s also something that the city needs to be thoroughly prepared for. And the preparations have begun – they have ever since the Olympic Committee announced that the Olympics would be hosted in the capital of the United Kingdom.

If the Athens and Beijing Olympics taught us anything is that you can’t be too prepared. So it begs the question: are we, the public, prepared for it? Well, if you’re not planning on being anywhere near London, or even travelling through any of the London airports, during the Olympics, than you’ll be fine. But for those of us who will be there and, most importantly, will be attending the Games, it’s time to start making preparations. It’s probably too soon to book tickets into London, but hotels in London will definitely be taking bookings, and the rates are only going to get more expensive. So why not start getting in the Olympic spirit early on, and, while at it, save some money by planning your stay as soon as possible?
